In this workshop, participants will dialogue with Dr. Alyssa Hadley Dunn about what happens in classrooms on the days after major events, traumas, or tragedies.
How should faculty approach returning to the classroom in the days after major events, tragedies, and traumas, especially when injustice is involved?
In her book Teaching on Days After: Educating for Equity in the Wake of Injustice, Alyssa Hadley Dunn highlights narratives from instructors and students alike that reveal what classrooms can look like in the wake of these critical moments. Join Dunn to explore equity and justice-focused pedagogical approaches rooted in equitable commitments, humanizing dialogue, and sociopolitical awareness.
This workshop is co-sponsored by the Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning and the Dartmouth Dialogue Project. Please register.
