Application & Selection Process
The Stamps Scholars Program application process begins at the start of the winter term and closes in mid-February each year. To be considered for the Stamps Scholars Program, applicants must submit a digital application form including a resume and transcript, and receive a completed mentor confirmation statement from a Dartmouth faculy or staff member. In order to be considered, the completed application must be received by the deadline, which is announced in early January each year.
The Dartmouth Stamps Scholars Program application review committee reviews all applications and selects candidates to advance to the interview phase. Interviews last approximately 30 minutes. During the interview, candidates are asked to discuss their overall interests and specific goals for pursuing an experiential learning plan, including a detailed description of proposed activities and what the candidate hopes to learn through the experiences. The review committee will nominate up to ten students to become Stamps Scholars, and the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation will conduct final interviews and confirm selection decisions.
