“For people in Buenos Aires, Tango is part of them. It’s part of their history. Tango was created at the same time as their society was created, and it has been used over time as a form of resistance and rebellion. My project looks at the movement and the different ways this is represented in the music, the dance, the poetry, and how politics, culture, and economics are inextricably linked for these people in this expression called Tango.”
