A Hub for History in Dartmouth's Carson Hall

"At every college level course across the country, students are introduced to the idea that history is not something that is already predetermined, that the stories are out there and you have to go find them," says Professor Bob Bonner, chair of the History Department. "At a place like Dartmouth, we have the resources and we have the faculty interest for students to learn not just how history is created, but actually themselves to be creators of history."

After a year-long design and development process, there is a new History Hub in Carson Hall. Essentially a small conference area, it provides a space for student-faculty collaboration. Some of this work, like the London FSP, has been ongoing for decades, and some, like the Professor Matt Garcia's Congressional Hispanic Archives project, are new.

The following video series explores some of the opportunities for student-faculty collaboration.
