Join us for a discussion of Cheating Lessons by James Lang, a book that explores the research indicating that students often cheat because their learning environments give them ample incentives to try. Lang "tackles academic dishonesty at its roots" by analyzing the features of course design and classroom practice that create cheating opportunities while empowering faculty to build more effective learning environments.

In this discussion, we'll address topics such as student motivation, pedagogical strategies, grades and grading, and Dartmouth's Academic Honor Principle.

Lunch will be provided. Please register.

This discussion is being held in person. If you are sick, please do not attend. If you cannot attend in person due to illness or disability, please email us at dcal@dartmouth.edu to make alternate arrangements.
