‌Geoffrey Cohen is professor of psychology and the James G. March Professor of Organizational Studies in Education and Business at Stanford University. His book Belonging: The Science of Creating Connection and Bridging Divides offers research-based strategies for establishing rapport, empathy, and a  sense of self-integrity in diverse social environments, including home, work, and school. Cohen demonstrates that specific practices can be used to adjust situations so that participants feel they belong and can thrive.

Cohen will be interviewed by Beverly Daniel Tatum, interim president of Mount Holyoke College, president emerita of Spelman College, and a clinical psychologist with expertise in race relations.
