Dartmouth’s honor principle is a central component of the academic relationship between faculty and students. In the residential setting, faculty have adopted a wide variety of interpretations and applications to meet their course needs, but with the shift to remote learning, these approaches don’t necessarily apply. How do we adhere to the honor principle when some or all of our students are working remotely? How might the guidelines serve both faculty and student needs when assessing student learning online? Join us for a panel discussion exploring this topic with viewpoints from instructors, Deans, the Committee on Instruction, and the Committee on Standards.
