DCAL (Baker 102)
Intended Audience(s): Faculty, Postdoc, Staff, Students-Graduate, Students-Undergraduate

Registration required.

Join us for a discussion of Grading for Equity by Joe Feldman, a resource that explores the research on motivation, achievement, and opportunity gaps in learning, and the inequitable grading practices that perpetuate disparities among students.

From the back cover blurb:

"With Grading for Equity, Joe Feldman cuts to the core of the conversation, revealing how grading practices that are accurate, bias-resistant, and motivational will improve learning, minimize grade inflation, reduce failure rates, and become a lever for creating stronger teacher-student relationships and more caring classrooms."

Participants in this discussion are invited to read the book and/or listen to the Harvard EdCast conversation (32 min.) with Joe Feldman on the same topic. Please indicate in your registration if you would like a hard copy of the book. You will receive a notification when books are available to pick up in DCAL (Baker 102).

This event is being held in person. If you are sick, please do not attend. If you cannot attend in person due to illness or disability, please email us at dcal@dartmouth.edu to make alternate arrangements.
