Evaluating Teaching Parts 1 & 2 (Oct 10 & Nov 21, 12-1:05pm)

How do we evaluate teaching, as colleagues, as administrators, and as an institution?  Evaluating teaching has always been a challenge.  Student evaluations can provide good feedback that help educators improve their courses and teaching.  But they can be difficult to interpret due to concerns about their validity - evaluations may be biased, return rates might be low, etc.

In this pair of sessions on evaluating teaching, we will seek to find best practices for evidence-based methods and metrics of evaluation.  Join us for a presentation and discussion of literature on student evaluations and how best to use them individually, within your department, and across the College.

Lunch will be provded: please register here:https://libcal.dartmouth.edu/event/5869181
